A couple Saturdays ago we had quite the adventure at Bear Lake. We woke up early that morning to start the drive and follow my mom, grandma, Aunt Elaine and Anaka in their car. However, the caravan idea fell apart early on when the four women in the other vehicle, each trying to convince the other of the right way to go, had us going in circles (not all legal). :) Jesse, Jonah and I found our way without a map and were excited to arrive at Uncle Dave and Aunt Janalee's lakeside cabin. Jonah was THRILLED to find out he could ride on a 4-wheeler and play in the sand all day. You couldn't take that kid away from the sand and water for anything - believe me, I was force-feeding him by the end of the day! Jonah was in heaven. We had a blast riding the wave-runners and catching up with family (especially those that live in New Mexico!). Unfortunately, the fun ended for Jesse when vertigo set in (due to an earlier battle in the week with ear problems) and he spent the rest of the day in the cabin recycling his previous meals into the garbage can (which his wonderful wife cleaned out at the end of the day). Instead of staying the night as we had planned and going to Taylor's mission homecoming in Ogden the next day, we reluctantly got back into the car (VERY reluctantly for a certain 2 year old!) and made our way back home (which a wonderful sick husband ended up having to drive half the way due to his night-driving disabled wife). However epic, we had such a good time playing with family at that beautiful lake. It was worth the drive, the puke and the tantrum! :) We had a blast - thank you Green's for inviting us to play!
