Happy Turkey Day!
Thursday morning we decided to greet the day by going on a BRISK morning walk to the field by our house and to let Indy stretch his legs. It was beautiful to watch the sun rise over the valley, to feel the freedom of the mountains and to enjoy it all with my wonderful little family. We talked and thought about all the things we have to be thankful for and the list was long and humbling. My mind always goes back to my experiences in Africa and Saudi Arabia and I can't help but feel patriotic on Thanksgiving, so grateful for the freedom and opportunity found in the great U.S. of A. With good jobs, opportunity for a higher education, a beautiful home, an incredible place to live, good food to eat, healthy bodies, closets full of clothes, financial security, family close by, each other and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we are RICH. And grateful for it all.
